Construction Site Toilet Hire in Manchester
Portable toilet provision is a legal requirement on construction sites under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. We supply compliant portable toilet units to building sites of all sizes across Manchester and Greater Manchester, with weekly servicing included as standard on all site contracts.
We understand the practical realities of a construction site — access changes, delivery windows are tight, and the welfare requirements evolve as the workforce grows. We're flexible. Call us when the site changes and we'll adjust.
CDM Regulations — Your Obligations
The CDM Regulations 2015 require that construction sites have adequate sanitary facilities for workers from the first day of work. The HSE recommends a minimum of one toilet per seven workers where running water is not available (HSE, Construction Phase Plan guidance, 2023).
Failure to provide adequate welfare facilities can result in improvement notices, prohibition notices, and enforcement action by the HSE. Our delivery notes confirm unit specification for your site welfare file.
Site Hire Contracts — Flexible Terms
We offer weekly, monthly and long-term rolling contracts. As your workforce grows, you can add units mid-contract. If the project runs over, we extend. If it completes early, there's no penalty on reasonable notice. This flexibility is why site managers recommend us to their colleagues.
Servicing Schedule
Every site contract includes a weekly servicing visit as standard. Our operative will pump out the waste tank, clean and sanitise the unit, and restock toilet roll and hand sanitiser. For large sites or high-usage phases, twice-weekly servicing is available at a modest additional cost.
Manchester City Centre Site Experience
Delivering to city centre construction sites requires knowledge of restricted access zones, permit requirements and tight delivery windows. We've worked in and around Manchester city centre for years and know how to get a unit onto a constrained site without causing you a problem.
Welfare Inspection Ready
Our units are maintained to a standard that passes welfare inspections. We provide delivery documentation including unit type, capacity and service frequency on request. If you're expecting a site visit from your principal contractor or the HSE, you won't have to worry about your welfare provisions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can you deliver to a new site?
Next-day delivery is standard within our service area. Same-day delivery is possible for urgent welfare requirements if ordered before noon — call us directly to check availability.
What size unit do I need for my site?
Standard portable toilet units are appropriate for most sites with up to 10 workers. Larger sites or sites with welfare block requirements may need additional units or a toilet/welfare cabin combination. We'll advise when you call with your site details.
Do you supply welfare cabins as well?
Our current stock is portable toilet units and hand wash stations. For full welfare cabin requirements — including drying rooms, rest areas and canteens — we can refer you to a specialist welfare cabin supplier in the region.
Can units be moved on site as the build progresses?
Yes. We can reposition units during a servicing visit or arrange a separate move visit. Give us advance notice of a week where possible so we can schedule it into the route.
