How Many Toilets Do I Need for My Event?
The Showman's Guild of Great Britain recommends one toilet per 50 attendees for a 4-hour event (Showman's Guild Guidelines, 2023). For longer events, or where alcohol is served, increase this to one per 35 attendees. Female provision should be at least 60% of total units where the gender split is unknown.
These are minimums. Under-provision leads to long queues, negative reviews and, in licensed venue situations, potential licence complications. Call us and we'll calculate the right number for your specific event.
Event Setup and Collection
We deliver and position units to your site plan, ensure they're fully stocked and ready before guests arrive, and collect promptly after the event. For multi-day events we provide servicing throughout, with a daily visit option for festivals where units see very heavy use.
Luxury Toilet Trailers for Weddings
Standard portable toilets are not always appropriate for formal events. Our luxury toilet trailers offer a proper washroom experience — individual cubicles, running water, mirror and lighting, proper handwashing facilities. For outdoor weddings and corporate events, the upgrade is worth it.
Accessible Facilities at Events

Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book for an event?
Weekends in summer book quickly — we recommend at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance for events between May and September. For large events over 500 people, 4 to 6 weeks is better to guarantee availability of the right unit types.
Can you supply toilets for a one-day event?
Yes. Single-day hire is our most common event booking. We deliver the morning of the event and collect the same evening or the following morning, whichever suits the site.
Do you provide hand wash stations?
Yes. We supply standalone hand wash stations to complement portable toilet units. These are a requirement at food events and strongly recommended for all outdoor events. They can be hired alongside toilet units or as a standalone item.
What if my event is cancelled due to weather?
We understand events are weather-dependent. Contact us as soon as possible if circumstances change — we'll do our best to rearrange at no penalty, subject to fleet availability.
