Standard Portable Toilet Hire in Manchester

Our standard portable toilet units are the workhorse of the hire fleet — robust, clean and ready to go wherever you need them. We serve construction sites, outdoor events, agricultural land, filming locations and any project that needs temporary sanitation at short notice across Manchester and Greater Manchester.

Every unit leaves our depot freshly cleaned, stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitiser, and checked against our pre-delivery inspection list. This is what a reliable portable toilet hire company looks like.

What's Included With Every Hire

No hidden costs and no nasty surprises. Standard hire includes free delivery and collection within our service area, initial stocking of consumables, and a sanitised unit guaranteed to pass any site welfare inspection.

Longer hires include scheduled servicing visits — weekly as standard, or more frequently on busy sites. We use professional-grade sanitising chemicals and always leave units fresh and fully stocked.

How Many Portable Toilets Do I Need?

The Health and Safety Executive recommends one toilet per 7 workers on a construction site where there are no other facilities. For events, the general rule is one unit per 50 guests for a 4-hour event, increasing to one per 35 guests for events over 6 hours (Showman's Guild, 2023).

If you're not sure how many units to order, call us and we'll size the job properly. Getting it right saves you from welfare compliance issues and unhappy guests or workers.

Hire Periods — Short and Long Term

We hire by the day, week or month. Short-term event hire starts from a single day. Construction site hire is typically weekly, with flexible rolling contracts so you can scale up or down as the project progresses. Long-term contracts attract preferential rates — ask when you call.

Why Manchester Businesses Choose Us

We're based in Greater Manchester, which means we know the local roads, we understand site access constraints in the city centre and we can respond quickly when plans change at short notice. A national hire company with a regional depot cannot match a locally-operated fleet.

Same-Day Hire Available

Need a unit today? Call before midday and we'll do our best to deliver same day within our core service area. This is useful for sites that have had an unexpected welfare issue or events where numbers have grown beyond the original plan.

Welfare Unit Compliance

All our portable toilets meet the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. We can provide a delivery note confirming unit specification for your site welfare file.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does delivery take?

Standard delivery is next day within our service area. Same-day delivery is available for orders placed before midday, subject to fleet availability. We'll confirm a delivery window when you book.

Do you service the unit during hire?

Yes. All hires over one week include a scheduled servicing visit. We pump out the waste tank, restock consumables and check the unit. More frequent servicing is available for high-usage sites.

What happens if a unit is damaged?

Our hire agreement covers normal fair wear and tear. Wilful damage or misuse is chargeable at cost. We inspect every unit on collection and will discuss any issues with you directly before raising any charge.

Can you deliver to a Manchester city centre site?

Yes. We work regularly in the city centre and understand restricted access, parking permit requirements and tight delivery windows. Tell us about any access constraints when booking.

Do I need planning permission for a portable toilet?

Temporary portable toilets for construction sites and events generally do not require planning permission when in place for less than 28 days. Longer or permanent placements may need consent — your local authority can advise.
